what do you mean by "abstract picture 'in lieu'(?) background"???

And I recently thinking about changing this wiki's element to flat square-shaped, windows8 influence...

Above, I mean that the dark grey page background should be changed so that it won't be monotonous. An example might be a castle wall or a wooden floor (check out the SH Heaven or the SH2 Heaven pages' backgrounds). 'In lieu' means 'instead of something'.

What elements may be square-shaped? Is this similar to the tile system in Windows 8?

Yep. a bit like that. buttons, and everything that is round-shaped gradient-colored.

Okay, I'll look up and upload some pictures to choose of. In my opinion, we should insert the new background in the place of the dark-grey theme, between Richard the Lionheart and Sir William.

To be honest, I don't find too many elements that are round (or even rectangles with a curvy corner), but I can't wait to see your idea. I don't know much of Win8's designs, so it'll be definitely new for me.

Alright, I have uploaded a package of images so anyone can access them. It contains 6 stone wall pictures, 2 pics of Richard and William and two complete examples (I don't recommend to use them, actually).
