The Spearman is a very light infantry soldier who is equipped with a wooden spear. They are weak but in a large swarm of spearmen they are very deadly because of their speed. Their best use is on the walls as they are the only unit that can knock ladders away from the walls. Also, because they are melee soldiers enemy archers usually ignore them and concentrate to your archers.

Spearmen are extremely vulnerable to all enemy soldiers due to the lack of armour and the weakness of their attacks. However, they are also the unit with the fastest speed for filling in moats.

Cost: 155 gold for 5 spears
Cost to train: 8 gold
