Clicking on the treasury will bring up a panel, where adjustments can be done. A slider can be pulled to the left or the right, depending on the measure of the dividends/taxes needed to handle. By default, it is set to 'no tax'. Both bribes and taxes are deducted/collected each month.
Taxes can be raised by pulling the slider in the right. These can vary from 'low' to 'very cruel' range. Higher taxes mean more money per peasant, but accordingly, it will generate unpopularity. The 'very cruel' range will allow the maximum amount of gold, but it decreases overall popularity with -16.
As opposed to taxes, bribes can be handed out to peasants to gain popularity. However, it also results in bank reduction. When running out of gold, bribes won't have any effects neither on the treasury nor on the popularity balance.
The treasury needs 10 stone to build.
- Thieves may be used to leech gold from an other player's treasury. Thieves will stand by the building and transfer gold to his lord in short intervals.
- An owned or allied treasury will indicate a rough amount of gold (up to 2400) to the other players. Each chest and gold pack represents 200 gold.
